August 2020 Love Letters: Day 24

Hello, Beloved!

Tonight my roommate and I watched an absolutely beautiful film called “Away We Go” starring Maya Rudolph and John Krasinski. It is honestly one of the best movies I have ever seen, and certainly runs the gamut on the emotional spectrum. We, as humans, are incredibly complex beings, with many facets and layers to each of us. You are allowed to be exactly who you are, my love, with all of your facets and layers. You don’t even realize how much of a difference you make in the world just by being your bright shiny light-filled self – yes, even you, my grumpy love, you shine brightly, too. Maybe sometimes we just all need a little polishing.

I almost skipped out on writing this love letter to you tonight because it’s late and I have to work early tomorrow, but this is important. It’s important for my own self-discipline, and it’s what I feel I am being called to do, now in this time, to share a message of love, hope, and support for those who are lonely. Ever since the obvious start of my spiritual awakening in September 2016, I have had many mystical encounters that led to the deep faith I currently hold. One of those encounters was a message from above that I was going to write a blog, and it was delivered to me by a beautiful soul in church. She grabbed my hands the first time we met and spoke about how God had recently gifted me a creative spark and that I was to use it to write, so here we are: the love letters.

I try to be open here and let whatever message needs to be delivered flow through me. I never want to give you false flattery with insincere compliments, and I always want to be honest with you about the deep and abiding love I feel for you. I know it can be hard to fathom, God’s unconditional love, but it is truly without limits. Nothing you could ever do, EVER, will put you outside the realm of possibility to be extended God’s forgiveness, grace, and mercy. Darling, you are loved just as you are right now. I know, many of us have been hurt or felt betrayed or abandoned, I swear to you that God has never left your side. God knows every single thing about you and you are still wholly loved.

There is such a beautiful life waiting for you when you surrender to our Creator. Darling, LET GO of what it is you’re trying to hide from the world. If you feel wounded, it’s time to unpack it, clean out the poison, and let God heal you from the inside out. The Bible tells us in Luke 6:45 that a good man brings good things out of the good stored up in his heart, and an evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in his heart. Further, it tells us that the mouth speaks what the heart is full of. So, I’d like to ask you today, how’s the condition of your heart? Have you faced your own demons lately? We must correct our own thoughts, words, and actions, living as an example of what it means to walk with Jesus. Jesus tells us He is the way, the truth, and the life. Are you on a path that draws you closer to wholeness, or one that possibly leads to destruction? It is possible to live a Christ-like life, and be attuned to the fact that your very own body is the temple of God. All it takes is a leap of faith. I’ll leave you here to ponder the message that came through tonight. If you’re reading it, it is for YOU, Beloved. There is no such thing as coincidence. I love you dearly, and will write again tomorrow. <3

Always yours,

L Joy
